Dusk was fast approaching the foursome as they wrapped up the meeting
on the lodge deck.  The dusk to dawn lights began to hum as they were
activated by the waning light. There was a definite chill beginning which
spurned the four women to quickly pack up and move on to the much
anticipated campfire that they had planned on for the evening. Jesse and Terri
packed up the red UV with the bumper sticker that read "
I'm not just a Bitch...
I'm a damn good Bitch.
" They sped up the road, leading the way back to the two
trailers that would be home for the rest of the season.

Jesse unlocked the door while Terri gathered some kindling for the fire
ring.  After checking the answering machine for any messages, Jesse opened
the closet and took out Terri's Ohio State windbreaker for the cooling
temperatures. After a moment’s hesitation, she pulled on an extra sweatshirt and
shivered slightly. She went over and checked the thermostat, set the
temperature for about 70 degrees, keeping in mind that Terri preferred it cool.
She set out her thermals for later, knowing that later, she would not be able to
remember she had them, let alone know where they were. A smile lit her face as
she also laid out a the sleek black silk boxers and a black tank for Terri. Next to
wearing nothing, this was Jesse’s favorite outfit on Terri, or her favorite outfit to
get Terri out of….she smiled just a little wickedly. Jesse shook her head and
reoriented herself to the chores of dinner prep.

The crockpot had filled the trailer with the aroma of beef stew that had
been simmering since the early morning when Jesse had thrown the ingredients
in and covered it. Jesse placed four bowls and spoons, a loaf of French bread
and butter on a large wooden serving tray. With one hand she opened the door
to step out on the deck that surrounded the camper. Setting the tray down on a
round picnic table near the door she went back inside and brought out the
crockpot.

A teakwood potting bench had been converted into a combination outdoor dry
sink/bar. It was here she laid out the makings for tonight's dinner. Opening up
one of the many small drawers along the top of the dry sink, she pulled out the
long fireplace matches that were used to light the candles and tikki lights that
lined the deck. Soon the deck was bathed by the soft candle light.

"Damn, Jesse that smells good" Terri said as she stepped up onto the
deck. With one soot covered hand she went to grab for the lid to the stew only
to be intercepted with a sharp tap of a wooden spoon being welded by a wary
Jesse. Terri looked up into those twinkling blue eyes and then back at her hands
and laughed. "Ok....Ok....ya don't have to go whacking on me" she conceded as
she grabbed the damp towel that Jesse offered to her. "Geeze I only wanted to
get a whiff" Terri lamented forlornly.

"Play your cards right and you will get more than just a whiff" Jesse said in her
sexy bedroom voice.

"Woman, I like how you think" growled Terri in appreciation.

"Jesse, whatcha got cooking" asked Nell as she and Kim stepped up onto the
deck.

“Depends" she said slowly with an arched eyebrow, “on
what you're referring
to?"

"Oh my
god" Nell laughed. "You two!"

Kim walked over to the bubbling crockpot and was about to lift the lid
when Terri grabbed her arm and inspected her hands. Terri shrugged her
shoulders at Kim's baffled look. "I am the palm police" she explained to the
bewildered Kim which caused Jesse to bust out laughing. Kim looked from one
to the other then back to Nell totally clueless to the shenanigans going on
between the two.

"Don't pay her no mind, Kim" Jesse smiled as she led the way to the picnic table.

Nell placed the small cooler she had been carrying on the dry sink and
quickly arranged the contents out on the steel topped counter. First came the
small decanter filled with home-brewed kaluha, a gallon milk followed along with
four matching insulated short boy glasses. With a sure and practiced hand she
mixed the drinks that had become the camp mainstay. Since these were the
official first drinks of the season, only two tumblers were mixed. Kim and Nell
would share one and Jesse and Terri the other. The rules were simple. Before 6
the drinks were shared and after 6 everyone got their own. Before the magic
hour of 4 p.m., the only alcohol consumed were Zima's or beer and that was
sparingly.

Nell handed Terri a tumbler to share with Jesse and then handed off to
Kim their shared drink. Jesse took a tentative sip and smiled. "Best cow I ever
had," she winked. Chuckling, Kim took a healthy drink from her cup and passed
it back to Nell who laughed at Jesse's humor. Terri sipped the drink with
appreciation as well.

"Well ladies," Nell began. "To our park and the official start of our season" she
toasted and tapped Terri's tumbler.

“Well... We’ve said from the beginning….If we built it ……they will come.” Terri
laughed as she slid her arm around Jesse and pulled her close and raised her
glass high.

“To Labinky’s!” the four voices chimed together……”god help us all……”
